The Stranger [ [ Blog Assignment 3 ] ]

1. What was the climax of the story? Some of you have already talked about this in class, but I want each group to come to a consensus.
2. What was the social commentary?
3. Why did you like/dislike the novel? Don't just say "I thought the story was good"... I want some opinion and thought, here! Also, I don't want you to write "it sucked" without backing up your opinion with some good, critical comments. Think of a movie review. Those reviewers never just say "it sucked"... they give evidence and details.And... it's okay to dislike your book!

1. The climax of the story is that the main character has found the true meaning of life, also when he goes back to the beach to kill the Arab. Even though he has shot him once already, he continues to shott the Arab 3 more times

2. The social commentary of this book is that the world he lives in isn't cut out for him. He doesn't quite fit into society, leaving him an outsider, a nobody. This is probably the reason why he feels isolation. When he's in jail, he felt how his mother felt when she was in the senior home. He's cuts his connections off from the outside world and keeps to himself most of the time.

3.In the beginning, i thought that the book was way boring and moving too slow. Then, the story started to pick up and started to climax. That's when the book got interesting. In the end, it was very interesting and caught my attention of how the world is nowadays. In conclusion, this book might be long and boring, but in the end it all pays off. This is a good book and i would recomend it to anyone who questions the way of life.
